e) Setting the Brake Effect (ABS)
With the ABS function, you can optimise the braking behaviour of
your model car. The driving function servo (CH2) is electronically con-
trolled when braking to prevent blocking of the wheels.
In the brake position, the servo lever swings back and forth slightly to
slightly release and re-apply the brake (see figure 26).
Understeering is thus prevented, in particular when braking in curves.
Servo cycles can be set to slow, medium and fast speed. The best
settings depend on many factors and can only be determined by prac-
tical driving attempts.
Where malfunctions appear when performing the ABS settings in
connection with electronic speed controllers, connect a servo to chan-
nel 2 (CH2) of the receiver instead of the controller and check correct
ABS function of the remote control system.

Setting the ABS Function
Switch on the transmitter. On the transmitter's LC display the operating dis-
play will appear.
Press the Enter button to enter the programming menu. The menu item for
model memory selection (MDL) is displayed.
Use the cursor button (up/down) to call the menu item for the ABS function
(ABS).
Now use the Enter button to activate the menu item. The display shows chan-
nel 2 (CH2) for driving and the factory pre-set or last programmed ABS value.
Use the cursor button (up/down) to switch between the values now.
"OFF" = off
"SLW" = slow
"NOR" = normal
"FST" = fast
Press Enter to store the set value.
Use ESC to leave the programming menu again or to return to the operating
display.
