•
This device cooks under steam pressure. Improper use may result in burns. Make sure that
the pressure cooker has been closed properly before placing it on the stove, see the instruc-
tions for use.
•
Do not open the pressure cooker until it has cooled sufficiently and all internal pressure has
been released, see the instructions for use.
•
Never use your pressure cooker without liquids, this could cause serious damage.
•
Overfilling can lead to clogging of the pressure relief tube and thus to increased pressure
formation.
•
Never fill the pressure cooker with more than 2/3 of its capacity.
•
When cooking foods that expand during cooking, such as rice or dried vegetables, only fill
the pressure cooker to half its capacity.
•
Be aware that certain foods – such as apple sauce, cranberries, pearl barley, oatmeal or ot-
her cereals, split peas, pasta, macaroni, rhubarb or spaghetti – will foam, expand or splash,
which may cause the pressure release valve to clog. These foods should not be cooked in a
pressure cooker.
•
Use only those heat sources that are approved in the instructions.
•
If you have cooked meat with skin (e.g. ox tongue) which can swell under the influence of
pressure, do not pierce the meat while the skin is swollen. Otherwise, you may get burns.
•
If you are cooking food with a thick texture, you should shake the pressure cooker gently
before opening it to make sure nothing spills out.
•
Check the valves for clogging before each use, see instructions for use.
•
Leave the safety system untouched, except for cleaning and maintenance in accordance
with the instructions. In particular, you should never open the control panel.
•
When the normal operating pressure is reached, turn down the heat so that all the liquid
that generates the steam does not evaporate.
•
If the handles are difficult to push apart, it means that the pressure cooker is still under pres-
sure – do not force it open. Any pressure in the pressure cooker can be dangerous.
•
Only use original spare parts for the model in question.
•
In particular, use the pot and the lid from the same manufacturer and make sure that they
are compatible.
•
Grip screws can loosen. If necessary, tighten the screw connection of the handles.
•
Note: When cooking on induction hobs, there may be a buzzing noise.
This noise is due to technical reasons and does not indicate a defect in your cooker or the
