8.1 Automatic adjustment via PSC function
Force-compensated scales react sensitively to changes in temperature. The higher
the sensitivity of the scale, the more pronounced the effect. The temperature
controlled PSC function enables the scale to automatically correct this effect.
PCS stands for Perfect Self Calibration and facilitates fully automatic internal scale
adjustment by means of an internal weight, based on time and/or temperature
criteria.
Adjustment in weighing mode is carried out automatically under the following
conditions:
(1) If there is a change in ambient temperature (t 1°C)
(2) When about four hours have passed since the previous adjustment
(3) When the balance is switched from standby status to weighing mode
and condition (1) or (2) has been met.
If one of the above conditions was met in
weighing mode, the weight symbol
flashes for about two minutes in order to
notify the pending adjustment;
During operation, the display will
automatically change and the motor sound of
the weight loading system is heard.
In order to ensure proper PSC operation,
prevent vibrations and air flow.
