Directions
Whenever a location on the mower
is specified (e.g. left, right), this is
always from the perspective of the
driver, sitting in the seat, and facing
forward.
Assembling the
appliance
Various models are described in
these operating instructions.
The illustrations may differ in detail
from the machine which you have
purchased.
Installing the seat
Fixed seat:

Position the seat over the
elongated holes.
Secure the seat in place with the
provided self-tapping screws (1).
Adjustable seat:

Position the seat.
Hold the seat by the guides (1).
Pull the clip (2), and insert the seat
from above.
Installing the steering wheel

Place the collar (2, if provided with
model) and the steering wheel (1)
on the steering shaft.
Place on top the washer (3) with
the convex side up, and secure
the steering wheel with the
screw (4).
Insert the cover (5).
Installing the deflector
(Appliances with side ejector)

Remove all screws, washers,
and nuts on the deflector.

Insert the deflector (1), and secure
it with the screws, washers, and
nuts.
Secure the cutter rollers (2) with
the available screws, washers,
and nuts.

The deflector and cutter rollers are
now installed.
Press the deflector back slightly,
and remove the securing plate.
The deflector closes
automatically.

First disconnect the black cable
(–), then the red cable (+).
Remove the battery from the
appliance.

Remove the sealing strip or plug
from the battery cells.
Slowly fill each cell with battery
acid to 1 cm below the filler hole.
Let the lead in the battery absorb
the battery acid for thirty minutes.
Check and, if necessary, top up
the acid level.
Before using a battery for the first
time, first charge it for two to six
hours with a battery charger
delivering max 12 V and 6 A.
After charging, first disconnect
the mains plug to the battery
charger, then disconnect the
battery (see also the operating
instructions for the battery
charger).
Replace the sealing strip or plug
on the battery cells.
Install the battery in the appliance.
Remove the strip seal from the
battery vent. Connect the venting
hose so that the free end points
downwards in the appliance.
The hose must always allow free
passage! (Figure
First connect the red cable (+),
then the black cable (–).
Only distilled water should be
used to refill the battery
afterwards.
