Information on rating plate
These details are very important for
identifying your appliance when you
order spare parts or contact our
aftersales service.
The rating plate can be found under
the driver's seat.
Enter all the details on your
appliance's rating plate in the
following fields.
The model number
The fifth digit of the model number
specifies the Series, e.g.:
model number: 13AB518E678
= means a model of the 500 Series.
For your safety
Use the appliance properly
This machine is intended for use
– as a lawn tractor for mowing the
lawns of domestic and leisure
gardens,
– in accordance with the
specifications and safety
instructions given in these
operating instructions.
Using the lawn scarifier for any other
purpose is considered incorrect and
unapproved. The user is liable for all
damage caused to third parties and
their property.
Unauthorized modifications made
to the mower rule out any liability on
the part of the manufacturer for
damage resulting therefrom.
This mower is not licensed for use
on public roads or for transporting
people.

General safety information
Before you use this machine for
the first time, carefully read all
instructions in this guide and
observe them accordingly.
Inform other users how to operate
the machine properly.
Operate the mower only in the
technical condition in which it has
been provided and delivered by the
manufacturer.
Keep this guide in a safe place
where it is readily available whenever
the machine is used.
If ownership of the mower changes,
hand this guide to the new owner.
Spare parts must fulfil the
requirements laid down by the
manufacturer. For this reason,
use only original replacement parts
or replacement parts approved by
the manufacturer.
Have repair work carried out by
a specialist workshop only.
Before working with the
appliance
Any person intending to use this
machine must not be under the
influence of intoxicants such as
alcohol, drugs or medicines.
Persons under sixteen years of age
must not operate the appliance.
Bylaws may stipulate a different
minimum age.
Before you begin work, make that
you are familiar with all attachments
and operating controls as well as
their functions.
Store fuel in approved receptacles
only, and never near sources of
heat, e.g. ovens, hot water tanks,
etc.
Replace the exhaust unit, tank or
fuel cap if they become damaged.
Observe guidelines when
connecting towed items or
attachments to the mower.
Operating instructions for lawn tractors
Driving performance, especially
steering, braking capability,
and overall stability are affected by
attachments, towed items, ballast
weights and the weight of a grass
catcher when full.
When working with the appliance
While working with or on the
machine, wear appropriate clothing
(e.g. safety shoes, long trousers,
close-fitting clothes, protective
goggles).
Do not operate the machine if it is
not in perfect working order.
Do not refill the fuel tank while the
engine is running or if it is still hot.
Only refuel the mower out in the
open.
Keep away from naked flames,
avoid creating sparks and do not
smoke.
Make sure that at all times there are
no persons, especially children, or
animals in the working area.
Inspect the ground on which the
mower is going to be used and
remove any loose objects that could
be picked up and thrown out again
by the mower. In so doing you will
not only avoid injury to persons but
also damage to the mower.
Do not mow on slopes with an
incline greater than 20 %. Working
on slopes can be dangerous as the
mower can tip over or start to slide.
Start off slowly and brake gently on
slopes. Keep the clutch engaged
and proceed slowly when driving
downhill. Do not travel across the
face of a slope; always drive straight
up and down.
Operate this mower only in daylight
or good artificial light.
The mower is not licensed for
transporting people. Do not carry
passengers.
