13. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Management
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) allows the switch to be monitored and controlled remotely. It can also send SNMP traps to a
trap receiver service.
13.1 SNMP Configuration Settings
13.1.1 Enable/Disable SNMP Configuration
This feature is disabled by default. It can be enabled by toggling the enable/disable switch (Figure 13.1). Once enabled, you have access to
configure the SNMP community, group, users, and trap settings.

13.1.2 Community Configuration
To add the supported SNMP community strings and their permissions select SNMP
SNMP Config
Community Config. Click on the
green
icon to add a new Community Configuration (Figure 13.2). Add the community name (limit: 16 characters) and the access
authority of either "Read Write" or "Read Only". Click "Save" to save settings, click "Exit" to discard changes.
