13. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Management

13.1.9 Edit an SNMP Group

Click the "Edit" icon to edit the group settings. Click "Save" to save edits. Click "Exit" to discard edits (Figure 13.8).

13.1.10 Delete an SNMP Group

To delete a single SNMP group, click the red
icon or click the checkbox next to the SNMP group and click on the "Delete Selected
Group" icon. To delete multiple groups, click the checkbox for each SNMP group to be deleted and click the "Delete Selected Group" icon.

13.1.11 SNMP User Configuration

Select SNMP
SNMP Config
User Config to create the users that will be assigned to the SNMP group, along with their access
credentials.
To add a new SNMP user, click on the "New User" icon, then follow the steps below (Figure 13.9):
1. User Name – Enter the user name (limit: 16 characters).
2. Security Level – Enter the security level of no authentication and no encryption, authentication and no encryption, or authentication and
encryption.
3. Group Name – Select the group name to which the user will be assigned from the drop-down box.
4. Authentication Mode – When authentication is required, select the correct mode of MD5 or SHA authentication.
5. Authentication Password – Enter the authentication password.
6. Confirm Authentication Password – Re-enter the authentication password for confirmation.
7. Encrypt Mode: When Encryption is selected, select the appropriate mode of DES or AES encryption.
8. Encryption Password – Enter the Encryption password.
9. Confirm Encryption Password – Re-enter the encryption password.
10. Click "Save" to add the new SNMP user. Click "Exit" to discard the changes.
