13. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Management

13.2 Remote Monitoring Configuration Settings

Remote Monitoring (RMON) allows you to monitor network traffic and provide network statistics for Ethernet networks. The switch has the
RMON probe embedded into its circuitry. The function is available through the SNMP
RMON Config option.
Note: SNMP must be enabled to configure RMON.

13.2.1 Statistics Group

To set up a Statistics Group Configuration (Figure 13.13), click on the "New Count Group" icon, then follow the steps below:
1. Index – Enter the index number within the value range of statistical information table from 1 ~ 65535.
2. Interface Name – Select the interface source port.
3. Owner – Set the table creator (limit: 30 characters).
4. Click "Save" to save settings. Click "Exit" to discard settings.

To edit a Statistics Group configuration (Figure 13.14), click the "Edit" icon to make the needed changes. Click "Save" to save changes.
Click "Exit" to discard changes.

To delete a statistics group configuration, click on the red
icon next the statistics group entry to be deleted, or click the checkbox next to
the entry and click the "Delete Selected Statistics Group" icon. Once confirmed, the statistics group entry will be deleted. To delete multiple
statistics groups, click the checkbox next to each of the entries to be deleted, then click the "Delete Selected Statistics Group" icon. Once
confirmed, the selected Statistics Group entries will be deleted.
