English
The Transfer Flat can accommodate up to twelve operators.
4.
Wrap the flat around the patient to ensure that no handles are hanging
off the side, front, or back of the unit to prevent any interference with the
functionality of other devices.
5.
Ensure that the patient is properly secured on the cot.
WARNING
• Always use all restraint straps to secure the patient to the cot. An unrestrained
patient may fall from the cot and be injured.
• The patient must be secured on the cot before transport.
• When transferring the patient with the Transfer Flat, ensure that there is
enough clearance underneath the Transfer Flat to avoid impact with any
obstacles.
• When transferring or transporting the patient, verify that the Transfer Flat
handles do not interfere with the cot functionality.
• When loading the cot into an ambulance, ensure that the Transfer Flat does
not interfere with the operation of the safety hook, cot fastener, or the in-
fastener shut-off system.
• The Transfer Flat is not designed for use with winch/tow straps, lifts, or hoist
mechanisms. To avoid injury or damage to the equipment, do not attach any
type of hoist mechanism to the Transfer Flat.
• The Transfer Flat is not radiolucent and it cannot be used during x-ray.
• Water, ice, and debris on the stairs can affect operator footing and proper
operation of the Transfer Flat. To reduce the risk of injury, clear the path or
consider an alternate route.
