Electric connection

The fan is supplied without control and control cir-
cuit, but with all internal electric connections alre-
ady made.
The connecting cable must be fully pulled
out of the fan housing to prevent damage
from moving parts. .
Follow the wiring diagram of the electric motor, whi-
ch can be found in your enclosed documentation.

Electric equipment (by the installer):

Do not put any voltage on the fan during
installation
During installation, the qualified installer must
provide a control panel designed and mee-
ting the requirements of IEC 61439-1, with an
IP rating appropriate for the installation site, and
proceed with the wiring of the fan according to IEC
60204-1 and IEC 60364-X series.
The electric panel must be accompanied by a decla-
ration of conformity with the BT Directive 2014/35/
EU and the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU.
The installer must issue a declaration of correct in-
stallation in accordance with the regulations of the
country in which the fan is installed.
The panel shall be equipped with at least the fol-
lowing components
Incoming power line breaker
Short circuit and overload protection
of the power supply line downstream
the fan (circuit breaker, fuses, etc....)
Start and stop control (buttons, selec-
tor, etc...)
Category 0 emergency stop device
of red mushroom type with yellow
background in accordance with EN
ISO 13850 and EN ISO 13849-X
The electric motor plate data and the information
given in the attached technical documentation must
be used to size the power supply line (see "TECHNI-
CAL DATA" p. 20).
Power lines must be in accordance with the require-
ments of the laws in force at the place of installa-
tion and must in any case:
•
be made with cables having a cross-section
suitable for the power of the fan without pro-
ducing overloads and for the length of the line
itself to respect the maximum voltage drop va-
lue of 4%;
•
provide an efficient grounding connection;
•
be equipped with power breaking devices and
automatic protection against overload and
short circuits.
In the event of installations not complying with the
directions contained in this chapter, Munters' liabi-
lity, as well as the fan warranty, the validity of the
declaration of incorporation and the EU declaration
of conformity, shall be null and void.
Refer to the fan wiring diagram before making any
connection (Fig.24); also check the efficiency of the
ground system and check the continuity of the pro-
tection circuit installed on the fan.
The electric grounding must be made according to
local regulations before connecting the motor to the
power supply.
For the correct sizing of the protection conductors,
the IEC EN 60204-1 standard:

Fig.24 shows the wiring diagram for the connection
of the fan to the mains. However, the diagram is
subject to local laws and regulations and must be
amended, if necessary, to comply with such laws
and regulations.
