Spare parts and accessories

We draw your attention explicitly to the fact that spare parts and accessories not supplied by Biral
are neither tested nor approved. The installation and/or use of such products may, therefore, under
certain circumstances adversely affect and consequently impair design properties of the pump.
Biral accepts no liability of any kind whatsoever and provides no warranty for loss or damage
caused by the use of unapproved spare parts or accessories. Problems that cannot be resolved by
the customer must only be rectified by Biral or specialist repairers authorised by Biral. If there is a
problem with the product, please provide a detailed description of the fault. In that way, the service
engineer will be able to come prepared and bring the appropriate spare parts.
The technical specifications of the installation and the production number can be found on the
type plate.

Decommissioning the pump

Warning
Before carrying out any dismantling work on the pump, it is imperative that it is fully
isolated from the power supply at all poles and all external connections. It is essential
to ensure that the power supply cannot be accidentally reconnected. Wait 5 minutes
before opening the terminal box.
9.1

Protection against the effects of frost

Warning
Pay attention to the alignment of the bleed valve and the drain plug when draining
the pump. Make sure that nobody can be injured by the escaping fluid and wear the
appropriate personal protective equipment.
Important
Pay attention to the alignment of the bleed valve and the drain plug when draining
the pump. Make sure that the escaping fluid cannot cause damage to the motor or
any other components.
If the pump is not used during periods when a frost is possible, it must be completely drained to
prevent damage. To drain the pump, open the bleed valve on the pump body and remove all the
drain plugs on one side of the pump base plate. Do not re-tighten the bleed valve or refit the drain
plugs until the pump is to be put back into service.
