shocks that occur during normal operation. The surface of the concrete base must be absolutely
horizontal and flat. The pump should be centrally positioned on the foundation and fixed in place.
The whole area of the base plate must be in full contact with the foundation. The following instruc-
tions apply both to vertical and to horizontal installation of the pump. See Fig. 15.

The recommended length and width of the foundation are shown in Fig. 16. Please note that the
foundation must be at least 200mm longer and wider than the base plate for pumps with a motor
rating of ≤ 30kW. For pumps with a motor rating of ≥ 37kW, the length and width must always be
1.5 x 1.5 metres (Lf x Wf). See Fig. 17.
