Installation

1. Position mattress on bed frame with logo facing up and product information tags at foot end
of bed.
2. Ensure mattress is properly positioned with no gaps between mattress and bed frame or side
rails.
Always use a standard bariatric health care bed frame with safeguards or
protocols that may be appropriate. Frame and side rails must be properly sized
relative to the mattress to help minimize any gaps that might entrap a patient's
head or body.

Installing Side Bolsters

After expanding the bariatric bed, add the bolsters using the following procedure:
1. Place the bolster in the gap between the side rails and the mattress with the zippers to the
outside and the marked foot end at the foot end of the bed.
2. Connect the four female buckles on the underside of the left and right side bolsters to the four
male buckles on the underside of the mattress.
AtmosAir Plus MRS side bolsters are side-specific. The left bolster (identified by an
inward-facing foot) must go on the patient left side of the bed. Same applies to
the right side bolster.

3. Zip the mattress to the mattress inserts.
When bolsters are not in use, tuck bolster sleeves under mattress.
