13. Basic programming of the transmitter
The transmitter is preset to Model Type [0] (winged model).
If you want to fly a helicopter the first time you put the system into operation, first you have to
change the Model Type.
If required, it is also possible for you to change the preset control stick mode (Stick Mode 2)
according to your requirements.
The selection of model type and change of stick mode have to be carried out via the software
that comes with the system.
The following descriptions only refer to Stick Mode 2.
When changing to Stick Mode 3 or 1 (throttle right), a mechanical alteration of the control sticks
also has to be made.
Model types
There are four model types available:
The Acro Model Type (0) is the designation of the presetting for the mixer function for winged models.
Three additional presettings are available for helicopter models, depending on the arrangement of the swash plate
servos, under 120°, 140° or as single servos (90°). When a helicopter has been selected via the software, you can
switch between these three presettings also directly on the transmitter.
The most important flight settings for the four model types can be programmed either using the
control elements for the transmitter or via the software.
Stick mode
In addition to the one preset (Mode 2), there are also three further variations available for the stick mode.
