5. PRE-OPERATION CHECK

Check the snow thrower on level ground with the engine stopped.
To prevent accidental start-up, remove the engine switch key before
performing the pre-operation check.
Before each use, look around and underneath the engine for signs of oil or
gasoline leaks.
Fuel
Inspection:
Check whether the fuel gauge needle is in the FULL position.
If the needle is not in the position, fill the fuel tank to the level shown.
Refilling:
Recommended Fuel
Unleaded gasoline
Research octane rating of 91 or higher
Pump octane rating of 86 or higher
This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline with a research octane
rating of 91 or higher (a pump octane rating of 86 or higher).
Fuel specification(s) necessary to maintain the performance of the emissions
control system: E10 fuel referenced in EU regulation.
Never use gasoline that is stale, contaminated, or mixed with oil. Avoid getting
dirt or water in the fuel tank.
