2. Clean the fuel sediment cup.
a. Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position, remove the fuel sediment cup,
O-ring and filter, and then clean the sediment cup and filter in clean
solvent.
b. Reinstall the filter, new O-ring, and sediment cup.
• Install the filter by aligning the projection of the filter with the groove on
the carburetor side as shown in the following illustration.
c. Tighten the sediment cup securely.
Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive under certain conditions. Do
not smoke or allow flames or sparks in the area.
