SYMPTOM
Fuel is not reaching the
carburetor.
Fuel is reaching the
carburetor.
Oil indicator (red) is on.
Starter motor does not
operate.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
There is no gasoline in the fuel
tank.
Fuel valve lever is not opened.
Fuel filter is clogged.
Fuel pipe arrangement is
frozen.
Carburetor is flooded.
Carburetor is clogged.
Gasoline spoiled.
Gasoline contains water.
No or low oil level.
Battery is dead.
Fuse is blown.
Battery terminal is
disconnected.
Starter is abnormal or faulty.
Drive clutch lever is squeezed
or auger clutch switch is
pressed when starting.
REMEDY
Refuel (see page 38).
Turn the fuel valve lever to the ''ON''
position (see page 44).
Consult an authorized Honda dealer.
Check the engine oil level and add oil
to the upper level if necessary (see
page 41).
Charge the battery or replace (see
pages 90 and 100).
Replace the fuse (see page 93).
Connect the battery terminal (see
page 92).
Consult an authorized Honda dealer.
Release the drive clutch lever and do
not press the auger clutch switch
(see page 76).
