Aprilia Launch Control
Controlled launch: is a system de-
signed to assist the rider in optimizing
acceleration when starting from a stand-
still.
IMPORTANT
THE ALC SYSTEM SHOULD BE USED
WITH EXTREME CAUTION IN THAT IT
IS NOT AN ANTI-OVERTURN SYSTEM
AT ANY OF THE THREE POSSIBLE
SETTING LEVELS.
THE SYSTEM IS FOR EXPERT RIDERS
AND EXCLUSIVELY FOR USE ON THE
TRACK.
RELEASE THE CLUTCH PROGRES-
SIVELY IN ANY CASE AVOIDING EX-
CESSIVE SLIPPAGE WHICH CAN
DAMAGE THE MOTORCYCLE ME-
CHANICS.
ALC, launch control, is a specific condi-
tion of use of the traction control consid-
ering the initial speed equal to zero. Once
the LAUNCH is activated with the handle
all the way open, the engine revs to about
9,500 rpm no matter which level has been
selected. The LAUNCH condition can be
exited if one of the three situations below
occurs:

A gear higher than second is en-
gaged;

GE DE PILOTES EXPÉRIMENTÉS ET
UNIQUEMENT SUR CIRCUIT.
IL FAUT DONC RELACHER PRO-
GRESSIVEMENT L'EMBRAYAGE, ÉVI-
TER DANS TOUS LES CAS LES PATI-
NAGES
EXCESSIFS,
CAR
POURRAIT ABÎMER LA MÉCANIQUE
DU VÉHICULE.
ALC, accélération contrôlé ; il s'agit d'une
condition spécifique d'utilisation du con-
trôle de la traction, en partant du principe
que la vitesse de départ est égale à zéro.
Une fois le LAUNCH activé et la poignée
complètement ouverte, le moteur est
amené à environ 9 500 tr/min, indépen-
damment du niveau sélectionné. Pour
sortir de la condition LAUNCH, une des
trois situations mentionnées ci-dessous
doit se vérifier :
