Remote Control Panel Utility Overview

If you are not able to change printer settings from your software
program, use the printer's Remote Control Panel. The Remote Control
Panel utility consists of a series of screens that allow you to change
printer settings, such as the print quantity, paper size, and RITech
setting.

When to use the Remote Control Panel utility

You do not normally need to use the Remote Control Panel utility to
change printer settings. Most software programs allow you to change
settings that affect the final printed output, and any settings you make
from your software override the settings made from the Remote
Control Panel utility.
Some Remote Control Panel settings cannot be controlled from your
software program. Normally the only times you need to use the
Remote Control Panel utility are the following:
To specify the size of paper loaded in the paper tray

To turn the Toner Save Mode on or off
o
To change the density setting or RITech setting
o
To change the emulation mode
o
To turn the Standby mode on or off
o
To specify the top and bottom offset
o
Note:
When the printer is shared by more than one user, the settings may be
changed by other users. Even if the Remote Control Panel window
shows your desired setting, always click the Send button.
