Printer Driver Overview

The printer driver is software that makes it possible for your printer
and computer to communicate effectively with each other when you
are using Windows. You can use the printer driver to make various
settings, and tailor it to your specific printing needs.
This chapter explains the features of the Windows printer driver on
the driver disk that comes with your printer.
EPSON provides a driver that enables you to easily print your
documents using the best settings possible.

Ready! guide. This chapter explains how to use the Windows
printer driver.
Do not skip the section "Before Printing for the First Time" on

page 3-6. If you do not use the procedures in this section to make
at least the basic settings, you may experience problems with your
printer output.

Using the Printer Driver

The windows of the printer driver utility are designed to make it easy
to change settings. Your printer driver has the following windows:
Main, SelecType, Paper Sizes, Print Mode, Font Manager, Overlay &
Softtray Manager, and Printer Settings.
For details on these windows, see the sections later in this chapter.
This section describes the basic usage of the driver.
