TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptoms/causes
No power to the control unit
The fuses have blown. The power supply
must be disconnected before touching the
fuses.
Check that there are no short-circuits or
problems before putting a new fuse with
the same values.
When the SET button is pressed and all
the indicator LEDs flash, the control unit
protection is active.
Problem with the safety device and/or
stop circuits if the red S1 Edge, S2 Photo
and/or Stop LEDs are OFF. These LEDs
must be lit red otherwise the door will not
work.
Phototest of the safety devices failed. After
pressing a control for a few seconds, the
red "error" LED lights up.
Obstacle detection problems. The
control unit detects power peaks during
the manoeuvre and enters the obstacle
mode.
Intervention of the safety devices. Check
that the red "S2 Photo", the red "S1
Edge" and the "Stop" LEDs remain lit
during the entire manoeuvre. If there are
multiple pairs of photocells, these can
signal false obstacles.
Check that the transmitter LED flashes; if
not, replace the transmitter battery
Note: the transmitter interval varies in
relation to the environmental conditions
It is necessary to repeat the programming
of the door movement
The control unit protection is active
No effect with the "FORCE" potentiometer
or dip-switch adjustment
Solution
Check the mains voltage – see paragraph "6.1
Connecting the devices included in the system" /
"6.2 When connecting the power supply".
Replace the fuses. Should the fuses blow again, check
that there are no short-circuits or damages to power
circuits, cables, accessories, transformers and power
units.
Line fuse: 1 A type T
Fuse on control unit: 10 A type F
Deactivate the protection - (paragraph "14.3.1 Activating/
deactivating the control unit protection")
Verify that the "S2 Photo", "S1 Edge" and "Stop" circuits
are closed.
Deactivate the Phototest – see paragraph "7.1 Dip-
switch adjustment".
1. Disconnect the door from the motor with the manual
release mechanism; check that the door can move freely. If
not, try solving the problem.
2. Turn the "OBS" potentiometer slightly clockwise (see
paragraph "7.2 Adjusting the potentiometers") - make
sure that the control unit stops powering the motor at the
limit switch.
3. If this is not sufficient, turn the "FORCE" potentiometer
slightly clockwise and reprogramme the automation
movement.
4. Avoid/reduce the slowdown phase (see paragraph "14.1
Backjump adjustment")
Apply jumpers to "S2 Photo", "S1 Edge" and "Stop" to
check whether the problem lies in the control unit or in
other circuits connected to its terminals (see "STEP 12"
and Fig. "45").
Check that the radio LED of the control unit flashes
while pressing a button on the transmitter. If it does, try
reprogramming the radio transmitter.
Replace the transmitter battery. Connect the external
antenna (see paragraph "13.8 Antenna") should this not
be sufficient.
1. Repeat the programming of the automation movement
(see paragraph "9.1 Basic programming of the
automation movement")
2. Should this not be sufficient, perform the advanced
programming of the automation (paragraph "14.1
Backjump adjustment")and set a broader slowdown
zone.
Deactivate the control unit protection (paragraph "14.3.1
Activating/deactivating the control unit protection")
To make the changes to the "FORCE" potentiometer and
to the dip-switches effective, it is necessary to repeat the
programming of the automation movement.
Should this not be possible, deactivate the control unit
protection. (paragraph "14.3.1 Activating/deactivating
the control unit protection").
