When multiple devices are connected to this contact, they
must be connected in series.
If multiple pairs of photocells are connected, the RX and TX
units of the safety group must be installed in a criss-cross
pattern.
"S1 Edge" SAFETY DEVICES FOR THE OPENING/CLOSING
PHASES.
It is possible to connect devices (e.g. photocells or safety edges) with
normally closed contacts (NC) or with 8k2 resistive edges to the "S1
Edge" input (terminals 9-10).
The factory jumper connected to "S1 Edge" must be removed when
this input is used.
These devices intervene while the door is moving, in particular:
– with the door closed they block the opening commands
– with the door open they block the closing commands
– during the closing phase they command a brief reversal
– during the opening phase they command a brief reversal
Fig. "45" shows examples of photocell connections.
13.6 POWERING 24 V
TERMINALS: 8-5, 10-5.
24 VDC rated voltage
, max. 250 mA, output for powering
external accessories such as photocells, radio receivers, etc.
The real output voltage can be greater than the rated value; verify
the compatibility of any external accessories connected.
13.7 WIRED CONTROLS
TERMINALS: 6-7-8-10.
The inputs for the start and stop of wired commands can be
personalised for opening and stoppage (paragraph "7.1 Dip-
switch adjustment").
They can be blocked to prevent tampering with the system
(paragraph 14.3.1).
• START CONTACT
The "Start" input (terminals 7-8) is a normally open wired
command for activating the door. The activation method is set
through dip-switches 1 and 2 - See paragraph "7.1 Dip-switch
adjustment".
This input is voltage-free (dry contact). Connecting the power
supply to this input voids the warranty.
TIMER FUNCTION: if the START contact is kept closed
(for example, through a timer-controlled or bistable relay),
the control unit opens the door and leaves it open. The
automation will not accept closing commands (neither
automatic nor wired) until the START contact is not
reopened. In this mode, STEP dip-switch 1 is set to OFF
and AUTO dip-switch 2 is set to ON to ensure that the door
never remains locked in the open position.
If multiple START contacts are connected, they must be
connected in parallel.
If the START contact is kept closed while the control
unit restarts after a blackout, the control unit will execute
the Start command immediately.

• STOP CONTACT
The "STOP" input (terminal 6-8) is used to stop and
immediately block any movement of the door. This input is
normally closed and voltage-free (dry contact). Connecting
the power supply to this input voids the warranty. To reset
the automation, this contact must be closed.
13.8 ANTENNA
TERMINALS: 13-14.
Antenna terminal for receiving the transmitter signal. A wire is
factory-connected to this terminal.
To expand the reception range, it is possible to connect an external
antenna (present in warning lights of the NiceHome range).
If an external antenna is connected, the series-
connected wire must be removed.
