1 INTRODUCTION
Carefully read this manual before proceeding
with installation operations, use, maintenance
or other intervention operations on the device.
Always keep this manual at hand.

The aim of this manual is to make the operators

1.1 Intended Use
PIEZOSURGERY® plus is a surgical ultrasound
device used to cut bone, fitted with handpieces
and specific inserts that enable osteotomy and
osteoplasty techniques and to drill holes in a
variety of surgical procedures:
• Otorhinolaryngology;
• Oral-maxillofacial surgery;
• Hand and foot surgery;
• Neurosurgery;
• Spinal surgery;
• Plastic-reconstructive surgery;
• Orthopaedics;
• Thoracic surgery.
The device can also be used with the help of
visual endoscopic techniques employed to
carry out the procedures listed above.
WARNING: Only use the device for its
intended use. Failure to comply with this
requirement may lead to serious injury to the
patient or operator, and damage/failure of
the device.

The device cannot function in places where
there is an atmosphere saturated with
flammable gases (anaesthetic mixtures,
