J. SCHUBERTH SERVICE
3. REPAIR SERVICE
With the J1 you have purchased a SCHUBERTH quality product,
designed and manufactured in accordance with state-of-the-art
development and manufacturing processes. Nevertheless, if your
helmet should over time require some repairs, please don't hesitate
to contact your specialist retailer.
Note:
Should a repair order be submitted without specific fault
information, we reserve the right to inspect the item, and/or
defer order fulfilment until the customer has been contacted.
Should a repair based on specific fault information bring to light
additional faults, we shall be entitled but not required to remedy
these faults without specific order, where the action is necessary
to maintain functionality, and where costs in comparison with the
original repair order are insignificant. Otherwise customer
approval for additional repairs will be required.
4. WARRANTY
The warranty period for your helmet - conditional to intended use - is 2
years from the purchase day. Any claims covered by warranty must be
processed via your specialist retailer.
The submission of proof of purchase is required for any warranty
claims. Please store your original receipt in a safe place. The original
receipt (or a photocopy) must be included with the helmet for warranty
claim submissions. Warranty claims submitted without proof of pur-
chase shall be void. The original warranty period shall not be extended
by a product replacement or repair.
Complaints must be submitted to us in writing without delay, latest
within 8 days of the purchase date. Any faults, which could not be
detected within the specified period despite careful checking, must be
96
reported to your specialist retailer in writing immediately upon detec-
tion. Please remember to include a detailed description of the com-
plaint, when submitting the item to your specialist retailer.
SCHUBERTH and/or your specialist retailer reserve the right to verify
the serial number for any warranty claims. Any articles that have been
in use shall not be replaced but will be repaired. SCHUBERTH and/or
your specialist retailer shall decide, whether a claimed part shall be
replaced or credited to your account.
Warranty claims are excluded specifically for:
- inappropriate and over-use of the product
- customer modifications to the product
- non-compliance with our product recommendations
- normal wear and tear
