E. PUTTING ON
ND T KING OFF THE HELMET
2. TAKING THE HELMET OFF
1. Remove the chin guard hoop from the helmet by pressing the red
side buttons upwards with the thumbs (step 1) and then drawing it
out of the fasteners (step 2).
2. Open the chinstrap by pressing in the red button of the lock.
3. Undo the Velcro of the chinstrap comfort pad.
4. Grasp the helmet by the two side sections and pull these slightly
apart (alternatively, you can grasp the ends of the chin-strap and
pull the chin-strap ends slightly apart).
5. The helmet can now be removed easily from the head.
Point 1 is only relevant if the optional chin guard hoop is used.

Note:
Please also refer to the general instructions for the chin guard
hoop and its locking (refer to Section D.8.).
Tip:
In principle, the helmet can be put on and taken off with the chin
guard hoop locked in place. However, the chin guard hoop
makes the helmet significantly stiffer - even compared to a full-
face helmet - in the opening area. If you find it more convenient
to leave the chin guard hoop in place, you can simply and
comfortably put the helmet on by releasing the chin guard hoop
on one side only. This will allow you to slightly open up the
helmet by pulling on the chinstrap ends.
If you use this method, each time you ride always check that the
chin guard hoop is properly locked into the fastener on both
sides.
Tip:
To avoid scratching any objects you might place the helmet on,
we recommend closing the chinstrap again after you have taken
the helmet off. It is also advisable to refit the chin guard hoop to
the helmet after taking the helmet off, both to ensure that the
helmet sits securely and to avoid losing the hoop.
