CONNECTION OF AUXILIARY CABLES

4.5.1 POWER UNIT

The Power Units are equipped with a terminal board to which external controls/components can
be connected specifically planned to improve the safety and reliability of the device.
➢ External manual bypass (MBCBS);

➢ External Online/Offline selector;

➢ External output switch (OCB).
➢ Remote emergency stop button (EPO);
➢ Battery auxiliary contact (BCB);
➢ Diesel generator;

4.5.1.1 Manual bypass (MBCBS)

Auxiliary contact of the manual bypass switch; terminals X10-1/2.
This contact must be connected to the interconnection cable MBCBS-x from the MBCBS
switch of the IOBM. The micro-processor will acquire the status and stop the inverter.
4.5.1.2 External ONLINE/OFFLINE selector
ONLINE/OFFLINE selector contact; terminals X10-3/4.
Closure of this contact causes bypass of the Power Unit from the system and if redundancy
of the units that remain present does not respect that requirement, the load will be switched
from inverter to bypass.

4.5.1.3 External OCB auxiliary contact

OCB auxiliary contact; terminals X10-5/6.
This auxiliary contact requires a bridge.

4.5.1.4 Remote shutdown (EPO)

EPO auxiliary contact; terminals X10-7/8.
The power supply of the Power Unit can be interrupted by a remote station using this contact
(e.g. safety requirements). A normally closed contact must be connected to the terminals of the
Power Unit (X10-7/8). On opening the contact, the static switches of the Power Unit inverter
open, bypassing the unit from the system output. If the external emergency stop button is not
planned, short circuit the
terminals 7-8.
