2.3.7 Maintenance
Maintenance and repairs must be carried out by expert and authorised staff. Before carrying out
any maintenance intervention, the UPS must be disconnected from the DC and AC power
sources.
The equipment is fitted with internal sectioning units that allow isolation of the power circuits; on
the terminals, there are however voltages present of the power sources. Use external switches
on the line to completely isolate the device.
Inside the apparatus, there are dangerous voltages including after shutdown and possible
disconnection from power sources, due to internal capacitors that discharge slowly. You are
therefore advised to wait at least 5 minutes before opening the door of the device.
Danger of injuries following electric shock
Any interventions must only be carried out in the absence of voltage and in
compliance with safety directives.
➢ Ensure you have opened the battery switch which can be located near it.
➢ Completely isolate the equipment using the external switches.
➢ Wait at least 5 minutes to discharge the capacitors.
Having switched off and disconnected the device, it may still have very hot components
(magnetic parts, heat sinks); you are therefore advised to use safety gloves.
High temperature of certain components
You are advised to use safety gloves due to the high temperatures that can develop
during operation.
