2.3.4 Installation

Installation of the product must be carried out while strictly following the instructions outlined in
the support technical documentation, including these safety instructions: In particular, take into
consideration:
➢ the product must be positioned on a base that can adequately support the weight and
ensure the vertical position;
➢ the UPS must be installed in a premises with limited access according to the
provisions of standard CEI EN62040-1;
➢ do not position the equipment near liquids or in excessively damp surroundings.
➢ do not allow liquid or foreign bodies to penetrate inside;
➢ do not block the ventilation grids;
➢ do not subject the device to exposure to sunlight or position it near a heat source.
Particular environmental conditions
The UPS was designed to support climatic and environmental conditions for normal
operation, as indicated in the technical specifications; altitude, operating
environmental temperature, relative humidity, transport and storage environmental
conditions. It is necessary to implement specific safety measures in the event of
unusual conditions:
➢ harmful fumes, dust, abrasive dust,
➢ humidity, vapour, saline air, bad weather or dripping;
➢ explosive mix of dust and gas:
➢ considerable temperature changes;
➢ poor ventilation;
➢ conducted or radiated heat, coming from other sources;
➢ strong electromagnetic fields;
➢ level of radioactivity over natural ambient radioactivity,
➢ fungi, harmful insects, parasites.
Avail of authorised staff only
All transport, installation and commissioning operations must be carried out by
qualified and trained staff.
Installation of the UPS must be carried out in compliance with national and local
standards, by authorised staff.
