Having to brake a 30 kW motor with a 150% overload, the maximum regenerated power is
45 kW.
Assuming that the braking time is 5 seconds (resistor overload time) and the break time is 1
minute, the diagram supplies an overload factor of 3.9. The resistor rated power is therefore:
45 kW
= 11.5 kW
