• Set cut-in and cut-out pressures according to the ap-
plication limits and perform a test to exactly check
them.
High-pressure and low-pressure switches
A pressure limiter and a safety pressure limiter are re-
quired for securing the compressor's application range
in order to avoid unacceptable operating conditions.
• HS.85: Connecting the high pressure switch to posi-
tion 1 (HP), connecting the low pressure switch to
position 2 (LP) see chapter Connections and dimen-
sional drawings, page 11.
• HS.95: Connecting the high pressure switch to posi-
tion 1 (HP). Depending on local regulations, installa-
tion of a low pressure switch may not be necessary.
The compressor module is provided with an auto-
matic low-pressure cut-out function.

Lack of oil leads to too high an increase in tem-
perature.
Risk of damage to the compressor!
HS.85 compressors are equipped with an integrated oil
management system. This avoids the necessity to in-
stall additional components and safety devices in the oil
line leading to the compressor (oil filter, oil flow switch,
solenoid valve), thus reducing the number of brazed
joints in the oil line and, consequently, the risk of leak-
age. In addition, this feature simplifies system layout.
The oil management system includes:
• Oil supply monitoring.
• Oil stop valve monitoring and rotation direction mon-
itoring.
• Oil filter monitoring.
