d) Setting the Idling Mixture Speed (S)
• Turn the setting screw for idling speed (S) clockwise to the right to increase the idling speed.
• Turning the setting screw counter-clockwise to the left decreases the idling speed.
Set the idling speed with the engine still warm from operation so that the engine still runs securely. Avoid too-high
idling speed because this will cause the clutch to drag continually and speeds up wear.
e) Recovering the Factory Settings
If the screws are turned in too tightly, the carburettor or screws will be damaged! Loss of guarantee/warran-
ty! Do not use any force when turning the screws!
Idle Mixture Adjustment Screw (L):
As basic setting, unscrew the idle mix adjusting screw by 1.25 - 1.5 rotations.
• Turn the screw in carefully and without expenditure of force until it is applied slightly (a spring at the screw must not
be bent).
• Now unscrew the needle again by 1.25 - 1.5 rotations.
Main nozzle needle (H):
As basic setting, the main nozzle needle should be turned out by about 1 rotation.
• Turn the screw in all the way carefully and without expenditure of force until it is applied slightly (a spring at the screw
must not be bent).
• Now unscrew the needle again by 1 rotation.
Idling speed screw (S):
The screw should be set so that the throttle lever is roughly at the centre of the conical tip of the screw (screw viewed
from below).
