Introduction
Keysight RPS instruments only operate as a solar array simulator when the SAS:MODE command
specifies either Curve or Table mode.
In Curve mode, a solar array characteristic is created from four input parameters and a curve shape
(either space or terrestrial):
Imp – the current at the maximum power point
Isc – the short-circuit current
Vmp - the voltage at the maximum power point
Voc – the open-circuit voltage
In Table mode, a solar array characteristic is created from three to 1024 voltage and current points.
You can specify solar array operation as follows:
Front Panel Menu Reference
Select Output\Mode.
Under SAS mode, select Curve or Table.
Select Fixed to exit SAS mode. Then press Select.
The output is turned off when switching between Fixed mode and Curve or Table modes.

When switching between Fixed and Curve/Table modes, all settings will be returned to their *RST
l
values.
When switching between Curve and Table modes, solar array settings will be preserved.
