units. Then press Select.

units to the primary. Then press Select.
Primary/Secondary Front Panel Display
The current value read from the front panel of the primary unit is the aggregate of the values of the
primary and the secondary units. The secondary units return their individual current values.
The following example illustrates the front panel displays during primary/secondary operation. Three
units are connected in in a primary/secondary configuration. The units are operating in voltage priority
mode.
This is the 20 kW primary unit.
"P" indicates the primary unit. The current displayed
(30 A) is the total output current of all paralleled
units. This unit is only contributing 10 A to the total.
This is the 20 kW secondary unit.
"S" indicates a secondary unit. The current displayed
(10 A) is the current that this unit is contributing to
the total.
This is the 20 kW secondary unit.

Primary/Secondary Programming Considerations
Program the output voltage, power and current settings of the primary unit the same as you would an
individual unit. The current limits will reflect the total capacity of the paralleled units. Refer to
Output Voltage, Set the Output Power
locked; you cannot program the settings of the secondary units.
Set both positive and negative current limits high to allow extra headroom for both up- and down-
programming transient dynamics. Transient dynamics are mainly a result of DUT capacitance charging
currents. Note that the primary unit's current limit, power setting and current setting are automatically
proportioned among the paralleled group according to the current and power rating of each unit.
