Precautions for the Battery Pack
The function of the Battery Pack is based on a chemical! reaction.
Pay attention to the following points when using it.
elf charged at low temperatures, the operation time of the Battery
Pack becomes shorter,
®For recharging, use the specially designed AC Adaptor only.
@Charge the Battery Pack within a temperature range of
50°F-95°F (10°C -35°C). At higher or lower temperatures, the
Battery Pack cannot be charged to its full capacity.
®Do not recharge the Battery Pack when it is already fully charged.
elf, in spite of normal recharging, the operation time of the Battery
Pack becomes too short for practical use, the service life of the
Battery Pack has reached its end. Replace it with a new one.
During operation of this unit or during recharging, the Battery
Pack may become warm. However, this does not pose any
problem.
eWhen the Battery Pack is not being used, remove it from the
Movie Camera or the AC Adaptor.
eDo not short-circuit the connectors nor disassemble the Battery
Pack.
@Do not throw the exhausted Battery Pack into a fire.
@ Precautions for Storing the Battery Pack:
eDo not store the Battery Pack in contact with metal objects
because they could short-circuit the connectors of the Battery
Pack and exhaust it.
@Do not leave the Battery Pack in places with high temperature,
@.g. on the dashboard of a car or other places exposed to direct
sunlight.
Precautions for the AC Adaptor
Before connecting the AC Adaptor to an AC wall outlet, confirm
that the voltage on the rating plate matches your loca! AC main
voltage.
When not using the AC Adaptor, unplug its main cable.
Do not use the AC Adaptor for any purposes other than supplying
the unit with power and charging the Battery Pack.
eWhen unplugging the main cable, pull it by the plug, not by the
cable.
When listening to a radio while the AC Adaptor is in operation, the
radio reception may be distorted. In this case, move the radio
farther away from the AC Adaptor.
®Do not place any heavy objects on the AC Adaptor.
Before cleaning the AC Adaptor, make sure that it is
disconnected from the AC outlet.

Précautions a4 observer concernant le bloc-batterie
Le fonctionnement du bloc-batterie est basé sur une reaction
chimique. Porter attention aux points suivants lors de l'utilisation
d'un bloc-batterie.
®Si le bloc-batterie est chargé a basse température, son temps
d'utilisation sera réduit.
®Pour la recharge, n'utiliser que l''adaptateur c.a. recommandé.
eCharger le bloc-batterie 4 une température se situant entre 10°C
et 35°C. A des températures plus basses ou plus élevées que
celles mentionnées, le'bloc-batterie ne pourrait étre chargé a
pleine capacité.
Ne pas tenter de recharger le bloc-batterie s'il est déja
complétement chargé.
®Si, en dépit d'une recharge effectuée normalement, la durée de
charge du bloc-batterie devient trop courte, le bloc-batterie a
probablement dépassé la durée de vie prévue. Le remplacer par
un nouveau bloc-batterie.
®Pendant l'utilisation du camescope, ou pendant la recharge du
bloc-batterie, ii est normal que le bloc-batterie devienne chaud.
Ce n'est pas !e signe d'une défectuosite.
*@Lorsque le bloc-batterie n'est plus utilisé, le retirer du camescope
ou de l'adaptateur c.a.
Ne pas court-circuiter les bornes du bloc-batterie ou tenter de le
démonter.
@Ne pas jeter un bloc-batterie au feu.
® Conditions de rangement du bioc-batterie:
®Ne pas laisser le bloc-batterie en contact avec des objets
métalliques, ceux-ci pouvant court-circuiter les bornes du bloc-
batterie.
@Ne pas laisser le bloc-batterie dans un endroit ol ia température
est élevée, par exemple dans le coffre a gants d'une voiture, ou
autre endroit exposé aux rayons directs du soleil.
¢ Avant de brancher !'adaptateur c.a. a une prise de courant,
s'assurer que la tension nominale indiquée sur la plaque
correspond a celle de la prise de courant.
eLorsque l'adaptateur c.a. n'est plus utilisé, débrancher le fil
d'alimentation.
Ne pas utiliser l'adaptateur c.a. a d'autres fins que celles
d'alimenter le camescope ou recharger te bloc-batterie.
eDébrancher le fil d'alimentation en le tenant par la fiche et non
pas par le fil.
Si l'adaptateur c.a. est utilisé pres d'une radio, la réception radio
pourrait 6tre perturbée. Le cas échéant, éloigner ta radio de
l'adaptateur c.a.
@Ne pas placer d'objets lourds sur |'adaptateur c.a.
@ Avant de nettoyer l'adaptateur c.a., s'assurer de le débrancher de
la prise secteur.
