- Check and change, if necessary, the PVC tube seals.
- Change the solenoids kit.
- Check and change, if in doubt, the PVDF and PE hoses.
- Check that the gas escape vent is working properly.
- Open the water supply.
- Check the water softener and the flow rate at its outlet, this is to check that the resin hasn't clogged.
If there is any clogging, refer to the manufacturer's manual to change the resin.
- Complete a water hardness check.
- Return the unit to operation following the procedure described in the "Recommissioning" chapter.
- After a few hours of operation, check all of the unit's seals.
- Take a sample of the solution produced to measure its concentration.
11. oXIDaNt rEsErVoIr aND HyDroGEN VENts
11.1 MaNaGING HyDroGEN WItH tHE Eco MX NaNo ElEctrolysEr
The buffer storage reservoirs used for the solution generated by the ECO MX NANO electrolyser may contain
hydrogen in its vapour phase. This hydrogen is the result of the degassing of the small concentration dissolved
in the chlorine solution during its generation by electrolysis.
The hydrogen content in this vapour phase is sufficiently low for it to present no risk of explosion (far below
the lower flammability limit of 4.1%) and the hydrogen is vented naturally to the exterior by the reservoir's
(optional) upper escape vent.
Note: The following section describes the installation of an oxidant reservoir. This reservoir can be supplied
(as an option) by BWT. However, the following section must be followed scrupulously, regardless of
the supplier, to ensure that the installation is correct and safe in terms of hydrogen venting.
