Build up of scale on the electrode.
Possible causes:
- The water softener has failed or is
malfunctioning.
The electrical power supply module is in safe mode.
Possible causes:
- Overheating.
9.3 "rEGENEratIoN" alarM
The water softener is in a regeneration cycle and production will stay in stand-by for the duration.
The alarm will be automatically acknowledged as soon as the supply is reactivated and the unit will return to
normal operation.
If the alarm is not automatically acknowledged, check the connection between the water softener valve and
the electrolysis machine control unit. This might be disconnected or malfunctioning.
9.4 "HyDroGEN" alarM
This alarm is associated with the presence of a hydrogen detector (optional) in the upper region of the technical
area. This detector is not included in the basic kit.
Possible causes:
- The concentration of hydrogen in
the technical space is abnormally high.
Solutions:
- Check that the water softener is functioning correctly.
- Check the mains power supply
- Test the water hardness at the unit's inlet and outlet.
- The inlet hardness will be increased in relation with
the actions completed during commissioning.
- Increase the regeneration cycle frequency.
- Change the resin load of the water softener.
- Complete an electrolysis unit acid rinse cycle
following the procedure described in the "CLEANING
THE ELECTROLYSIS CELL WITH ACID" chapter.
- Acknowledge the fault by pressing the "RESET" button.
- Return the system to operation by carrying out
the "RECOMMISSIONING" procedure.
Solutions:
- Check operation of the ventilator.
- Check the ventilator filter on the control unit. Clean or
replace as necessary.
- Acknowledge the alarm by pressing the "RESET" button
and the system will resume normal function.
Solutions:
- The degassing vent is blocked or damaged.
- The production reactor outlet is no longer sealed.
- The production tank is no longer sealed.
- The connection between the automatic controller and
the hydrogen detector is malfunctioning or broken.
- The hydrogen detector is malfunctioning or has no power
supply.
- Acknowledge the alarm by pressing the "RESET" button
and the system will resume normal function.
