m) Tamper alarm
• The tamper alarm is triggered if unauthorized changes
are detected on the keypad in illuminated surroundings. A
photodiode detects the incidence of light when the housing is
opened and beeps to provide an acoustic warning. The tamper
alarm can be enabled or disabled as desired. The tamper
alarm is enabled by default.
If the tamper alarm is triggered, all three components
(the keypad, relay and the external alarm if connected)
will produce warning tones. The triggered warning can
be disabled by closing the cover, entering the * master
code # , a valid user PIN code # or by presenting a
valid EM card. Otherwise, the tamper alarm stops
automatically after one minute.
Start your entry with the * key, followed by
the current master code (in this example,
the factory preset code "123456" is used).
Press the # key to confirm your entry. A long
beep/buzz indicates the switch. The red LED
flashes every 1.5 seconds to indicate that
programming mode is enabled.
To disable the tamper alarm, enter the digit
"61", press the # key and add "0". Press the
# key to confirm your entry.
To enable the tamper alarm, enter the digit
