b) Door opener design
The code lock can be used with fail-safe or fail-secure door open-
ers. The door opener must be connected differently depending on
its design. Make sure that the door opener is connected correctly.
Refer to section "b) Wiring diagram with connections" for more
information on connection options.
"Fail-secure" door openers: Fail-secure door openers release the
latch when the power supply delivers a voltage (standard door
opener type).
"Fail-safe" door openers: Fail-safe door openers release the latch
when the power supply stops delivering a voltage (non-standard
door opener type, used for emergency exit doors so that the door
opens in the event of a power cut).
Determine which type of door opener you are using
before connecting it. A fail-secure door opener requires
relatively high currents for a short time in order to open.
It is therefore not suitable for a prolonged load with a
high current flow.
