The LIMITS menu

The LIMITS menu allows the operator to alter the operational limits of the turbine (naturally only within the
permitted range). In this way it is possible to adjust the turbine's running characteristics to provide an
accurate match to the requirements of a particular model.
The values available in the LIMITS menu are:
Name
Minimum RPM
Maximum RPM
LoBatt. warning
Fueltank size
LowFuel Limit
Fuel checking
GlowPlug Power
GasFlow
Aux-channel Func
SmokerValveCtrl
SpdCtrl SW0 Act.
SpdCtrl SW2 Act.
AirSpeed units
Explanation
Idle speed of the turbine (= throttle stick back)
Default setting = 36,000
Full-throttle speed of the turbine (= throttle stick forward)
Default setting = 108,000
Actual capacity of the fueltank in ml
Default setting = 1500 ml
Residual fuel volume at which the fuel warning function is activated.
Default setting = 250 ml
Switches the fuel warning function ON/OFF
Default setting = Disabled (= OFF)
Glowplug voltage in Volts
Default setting = 2.1 V for No. 3 plug
In software version 2.01P and later the propane gas throughput can be programmed.
In the warm part of the year (-> high gas pressure) it may be advisable to reduce the
propane throughput slightly (to about 30 - 50%), in order to obtain the optimum ignition
mixture combined with reduced gas consumption.
The AUX channel (= 3-position switch) can be disabled.
In this mode the turbine can be controlled using only one channel (= throttle stick).
Possible settings:
"ON, TrbCtrl ON"
= default setting, AUX switch active, AUX switch used to control turbine.
"ON, TrbCtrl OFF"
= AUX switch active, but AUX switch not used to control turbine, i.e. AUX switch is
only used to control auxiliary functions such as AirSpeed Control or Smoker valve.
"NOT USED"
AUX channel not used, i.e. the AUX lead must not be connected to the receiver ->
turbine is controlled via the throttle channel only -> the AUX channel is not taken into
account or interrogated when the radio control system is "learned".
See page 34 for further details
The ECU can directly control a valve which blows smoke fluid / diesel fuel into the
exhaust efflux (-> to generate smoke).
The Smoker valve can be the same type used for the fuel shut-off valve (Order No.
61106-00).
See page 34 for possible settings
See page 37
See page 37
Display units for airspeeds, i.e. [km/hr] or [mph]
