Electrical installation
The electrical connection is only allowed to be made by authorised
personnel trained in EMC.
To exclude inadvertent starting of the system during electrical
installation, maintenance, set up or adjustment, the system must be
isolated from the power supply and secured against switch on.
3.1
Voltage supply
On the usage of a common power supply, all inductive and
capacitive loads connected to the power supply (e.g. contactors)
are to be fitted with appropriate interference suppressors
(cf. chapter 3.5 "General").
Operating voltage either 24 V AC/DC, 110 V AC or 230 V AC.
For the connection of 24 V AC/DC operating voltage, use terminals
"+V" and "–V/PE".
For the connection of 110 V AC or 230 V AC operating voltage, use
terminals "A1", "A2" and "–V/PE".
3.1.1
Voltage selector switch
In the delivery status the device is set to an operating voltage of
230 V AC. For connection to 110 V AC, change the position of the
voltage selector switch (cf. Fig. 5). To change the operating voltage:
Remove yellow front panel
Set voltage selector switch to the required operating voltage
Re-fit yellow front panel
3.2
Sensor inputs
If the connecting cable between the evaluation unit and the sensor
cable is extended, it must be taken into account that the overall
resistance (total for red/blue cores or total for yellow/green cores)
must be Ĕ 50 ě.
2 to 6 sensors can be evaluated. The sensor input channels 5 and
6 must always be used.
3.2.1
Sensor selector switch
All sensor selector switches (1 to 4) are set to OFF on delivery, i.e.
all 6 sensors are evaluated and must be connected.
