General safety notes and protective measures

The safety system provides a protection function for persons.
Incorrect installation or manipulation can result in serious injuries.
The safety system RE 4000 complies with the following safety
requirements:
 up to control category 4 in compliance with EN 954-1 (application-
dependent)
 proximity switch in compliance with EN 60947-5-3, class PDF-S
Safety sensors are not allowed to be bypassed, turned away,
removed or made ineffective in any other manner. Their contacts
must not be bridged.
The sensors, the actuating element and the evaluation unit are only
allowed to be operated together.
The auxiliary contacts 41 and 42 (cf. Fig. 5) are not allowed to be
used as a safety-relevant output signal.
