Laser hot-wire brazing with RCU 5000i
A: Start of brazing
To obtain good wetting to sidewalls in the brazed join, ensure the following:
-
-
Preconditions for laser hot-wire brazing
Points 3., 4. and 5. describe analogue input signals.
Re. Point 3.:

-
NOTE!
A clearer overview of the program can be obtained by amalgamating all the signals
into one single command in a sub-program (e.
g. "Start of brazing").
IMPORTANT! Laser hot-wire brazing is a spatter-free process. This means that it is not
absolutely necessary to have an additional fume-extractor. It is sufficient if the crossjet can
be clearly heard working (at an operating pressure of between 0.5 and 1 bar = 7.22 - 14.45
psi).

Welding voltage = welding current x welding circuit resistance
(welding circuit resistance depends on the contact tip and filler metal)
Value is below 10 V (voltage limitation)
