18 Safety systems and
operating aids
You can find an overview of your ap-
pliance's safety systems and operat-
ing aids here.
18.1 Overload protection
If your appliance registers overload-
ing, operation will be interrupted by
the overload protection device, e.g.
when processing large quantities.
18.2 Temperature sensors
Your appliance has several temperat-
ure sensors.
The infrared temperature sensor in
the main unit measures the temperat-
ure of the food in the pot. If the tem-
perature measured by the infrared
temperature sensor is too high, the
appliance switches off to prevent
deep-frying and cooking in large
volumes of oil.
18.3 Imbalance sensor
Your appliance features imbalance
detection. If your appliance detects
an imbalance, the imbalance sensor
will terminate the current operation,
e.g. when chopping excessively large
pieces of food in the pot.
18.4 Lid catch
The lid catch ensures that the drive
will only start under certain condi-
tions.
The drive only starts when the pot
and the lid have been properly inser-
ted and are closed.

lock mechanism. This means you

ure and speed.
Activation and deactivation of the lid
lock mechanism is indicated by a no-
ticeable clicking sound. When the lid
lock is active, the display shows .
18.6 Overflow detection
If the touch display comes into con-
