The USB connecting cable from the monitor to the com-
puter unit is not connected or is defective.
1. Check whether the USB connecting cable is connec‐
ted to both the monitor and the computer unit.
2. At the computer unit, unplug the USB connecting ca‐
ble from the monitor and connected to a different
USB port.

After the injector has been removed, a large amount
of test oil emerges from the injection chamber.
The check valve in the hose assembly for the injected fuel
quantity no longer closes properly.
 Replace the hose assembly for the injected fuel quan‐
tity.

Test oil leaks from the injection chamber at the
knurled nut during the test.
Wrong O-ring insert was selected or the O-ring in the O-
ring insert is defective.
1. Use the appropriate O-ring insert with O-ring.
2. Replace defective O-ring in the O-ring insert.

The values for the amount of test oil are too high
when injectors are tested.
Calibration values might be wrong.
 Check calibration values.
There is too much air in the system.
 Perform a test at the full-load step several times until
the air has been purged out of the system.

 Check for leaks. Eliminate leaks immediately.

6. Decommissioning
6.1 --- Changing location
 Before handing the DCI 700 over to someone else, de‐
lete all data on the computer unit and restore the sys‐
tem to the as-delivered state by means of the recovery
USB stick.
 If the DCI 700 is handed over to someone else, hand
over all the documentation included in the scope of
delivery as well.
 Disconnect the power.
 Fit transportation safeguards.
 Seal the high-pressure connections with threaded
plugs.

 Remove the monitor, keyboard shelf and monitor col‐
umn.
 Place the computer unit in the transport position.
 Drain test oil from the test oil tank.
 DANGER – Risk of injury from improper transporta‐
tion.
 The unit is only to be transported and installed by
qualified personnel.
 Always use suitable transportation and lifting equip‐
ment with an adequate load bearing capacity.
 Never stand or work under suspended loads.
 Wear safety shoes and use protective gloves.
 When transporting, note the center of gravity of the
DCI 700.

 Read and follow the instructions concerning initial
commissioning.

6.2 Provisional shutdown
 Disconnect the electricity.
 Drain test oil from the test oil tank.

6.3 Disposal
6.3.1 Re-use and disposal of the DCI 700
The DCI 700, accessories and packaging
must be recycled in an environmentally
friendly manner.

1. Disconnect the DCI 700 from the mains voltage sys‐
tem and remove the power supply cable.
2. Dismantle the DCI 700, and sort by materials.
3. Use the disposal and collection systems available in
your country.
