Cleaning polymer components
Some components are made of polymer
or are polymer-coated. They are, therefore,
pleasant and convenient to handle. The use
of unsuitable cleaning agents and techniques
can damage polymers. For examinations
using acids or other aggressive chemicals,
particular caution must be taken.
Handling acids and bases
For examinations using acids or other
aggressive chemicals, take particular caution.
Never allow the optics and mechanical
parts to come into direct contact with these
chemicals.
Maintenance, repair work and servicing
Ensure that repairs are only carried out by
Leica-trained service technicians.
Only use original Leica spare parts.
