Setting up Contrast
Mode
Before taking images, please select the
appropriate contrast mode (BF or PH)
according to need, and then use the
appropriate objective and phase turret
position.
When you select the phase contrast
(PH) mode, it is necessary to confirm that the
aperture diaphragm is fully open (Move the
adjustment handle of the aperture diaphragm
to the far left). When the brightfield (BF)
mode is selected, please adjust the aperture
diaphragm till the best imaging result has
been obtained.
Operations
1. At the bottom left corner of the live view,
click the target contrast mode (BF or PH)
that suits your need.
2. After the contrast mode is selected, the
system checks in the current optical path
if the phase turret position matches with
the objective. If it doesn't, a warning
icon appears at the bottom left corner of
screen, and warning messages appear
at the top center of the screen. You need
to make corrections according to the
warning messages.
In BF mode, the system checks whether
the phase turret is in the position of "BF". If
not, a warning message like below appears.
