Software Update
Using the MECTRON APP it is possible to
check for and eventually update the software
installed in the device.
NOTE: The MECTRON APP has a guided
procedure and user information. Refer to
the MECTRON APP for details regarding the
supported functions.
If updated software is available for the device,
the user will receive notification via the
MECTRON APP.
It will be the user's choice whether or not to
update the device.
The
device
has
mechanisms allowing normal operation to be
restored in all conditions.
5.2.6
Reports
MICROPIEZO is provided with a diagnostic
circuit
that
allows
malfunctions and viewing of their type on the
touch keyboard by means of a symbol.
To help the user identifying the part that
is non-functioning there are four symbols
described in
Chapter 12.1 on page 70

MICROPIEZO
If the user runs a software update, at the end
of the process the device must be switched off
and on again to use the new version.
The device will not be restarted and will not
be updated or modified in any way during
operation.
If, during the update process, conditions
should arise which may compromise the
outcome of the procedure (for example:
power failure), the system will signal the
fault and use the last uploaded and available
software version.
The factory loaded software will always be
available and will be the one used to reset the
device if the first update fails.
