Type 8041
Installationandwiring
make sure the installation is equipotential (power supply
- 8041):
→
Connect the different earth connections of the instal-
lation to one another in order to remove any differences in
potential which may arise between the earth connections.
→
Inside the housing, connect the power cable shield to
connector terminal no. 4 on the electronic board (Fig.
13 ). On versions with a stainless steel sensor, a second
cable comes from the sensor.
→
Connect the negative power supply terminal to the earth
to remove the effects of common mode currents. If this
connection cannot be made directly, a 100 nF/50 V
capacitor can be fitted between the negative power
supply terminal and the earth (reference 1 Fig. 14 ).
•
If the pipes in the installation are made of metal:
→
connect the various metal devices to the same earth
(valve, pump, etc.) located close to the transmitter (ref-
erence 2 Fig. 14 ).
•
If the pipes in the installation are made of plastic:
→
insert the metal parts (not provided) inside the plastic
pipes, upstream and downstream of the transmitter (ref-
erence 2 Fig. 14 ).
→
connect these metal parts to the same earth (
