10. Troubleshooting
This model was built using the latest technology. However, faults and malfunction may still occur. The following section
shows you how to troubleshoot potential problems.
The model does not respond or responds incorrectly.
• The transmitter is automatically programmed to the receiver with this vehicle. This process is known as 'binding'
or 'pairing'.
Ensure that there are no other similar vehicles in the vicinity, otherwise the transmitter will not be able to determine
the correct vehicle. Switch the vehicle off, then switch the transmitter off. If the LED indicator on the transmitter
switches off and the LED in the vehicle stays constant, this indicates that the transmitter and vehicle are connected
and ready for use. Once this step is complete you can connect the next vehicle/transmitter.
• Are the batteries in the transmitter flat? Replace the batteries in the transmitter with new ones. For safety reasons,
we recommend using disposable batteries for the transmitter rather than rechargeable batteries.
• Is the drive battery fully charged? Charge the drive battery.
• Is the vehicle too far away? With a full drive battery and full batteries in the transmitter, a transmission range of
up to 25 m should be possible. However, this can be reduced by outside influences, such as interference on the
radio frequency or the proximity of other transmitters (not only remote control transmitters, but also WiFi/Bluetooth
devices that also use a transmission frequency of 2.4 GHz), metallic parts, etc.
Walls or furniture between the transmitter and vehicle (e.g. when the vehicle is driven in FPV mode indoors)
significantly reduce the range.
• For safety reasons, the vehicle engine switches off automatically when there is no transmitter signal.
• You can control the vehicle with the transmitter or the app (forwards/reverse/left/right). You can use the app to
choose whether you want to control the vehicle with the transmitter or the app.
The vehicle stops suddenly
• Undervoltage protection was activated and the drive battery is depleted. Replace the drive battery with a new, fully
charged drive battery (before inserting a new battery, wait at least 5 - 10 minutes to allow the engine and electronic
components in the vehicle to cool down).
• The receiver in the vehicle is not receiving a signal from the transmitter and the engine was switched off for safety
reasons. The vehicle is too far from the transmitter, the transmitter batteries are weak/depleted or the transmitter
was switched off.
The vehicle does not travel in a straight line
• Calibrate the steering wheel (see Section 8. f). It is normal for the vehicle to deviate slightly from a straight line.
• Check whether the tyres are mounted correctly on the rims and/or check whether they might have come loose
while the vehicle was moving.
The vehicle does not steer properly or the steering angle is too low.
• Check the steering components for loose parts or damage.
• Check whether there are leaves or small stones in the steering components.
The battery life is very short.
• Charge the drive battery or use a new, fully charged battery.
