• Oil seal 1 [8 mm (0.31 in)]
• Oil seal 2 [11 mm (0.43 in)]
Distance a:
10.3–10.7 mm (0.41–0.42 in)
Distance b:
0.6–1.0 mm (0.02–0.04 in)

Intermediate housing installation

1. Install:
• Intermediate housing
• Shim
Installation steps:
• Install the intermediate housing.
• Measure the clearance a at each bolt
hole.
• Install the suitable shim from the table
below.
Clearance a
0–0.2 mm
(0–0.008 in)
0.3–0.7 mm
(0.012–0.028 in)
0.8–1.2 mm
(0.031–0.047 in)
1.3–2.0 mm
(0.051–0.079 in)
NOTE:
Install the shim(s) to the original position if the
intermediate housing is not replaced.
